Making Changes

10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1....HAPPY NEW YEAR!

For my New Years resolutions...

  • To be a better house wife
  • To be a better mother
  • Pay bills off
  • Lose weight
  • Develop balance in my life (schedule myself better)
  1. Being a better house wife and mother:
Drew went to Colorado for a week and a half and I didn't think I could miss someone so bad but while he was gone I took that time to get our crazy house in order...organize and seriously clean...thanks to the help of my very best friends Todd and Abbey! At least the upstairs and I am still working out the kinks in our dungeon basement!!! Before Drew left the house was a wreck...dirty laundry...dirty dishes...um...dirty everything. I hate feeling that out of control I feel like a bad mom and wife and I fall into depression. So like I said my friend Abbey helped me out and we got my house clean! To a normal house wife this sounds silly... I know... but I have been spending more time with my kids, the house is clean and being cleaned on a regular schedule! Instead of sitting on my butt when the kids take a nap I do a load of laundry, wash dishes or sweep! I feel so much better about myself and Drew doesn't have to stress when he gets home from work!

2. Losing Weight:
Well we are still working on that... I have a minor addiction to food, so that's a slow process, but I did give up pop for almost 2 weeks....thanks to inspiration from Abbey!

3.Paying bills off:
Well we are working on that too! Its another slow process and well we have had a few bumps but we can do it! I have been begging Drew to cut hours down or to quit his second job...prayers answered.... his hours got cut and now I get to see my honey more!!! Drew has been begging me to quit my job at auto Liv and they have been doing some layoffs. Our company ZDD didn't get it so Drew wanted me to quit... as I was thinking what I would say to my boss... the phone rang....we got laid off!!!! YES! Another prayer answered (goes to show that Heavenly Father does listen) We are spending more time as a family and cutting back on unnessicaries!

4. Developing Balance:
Amy has been trying to help me out with getting my life in order cause of my recent senior moments and losing things. I found Drew's debit card...Abbey found my wedding ring and we are still looking for my car keys....baby steps...baby steps! With the house being organized its not hard to find what my scatter brain leaves behind! We have our kids on a set schedule and life is good!

Hangin' out with Family!

Last night we went to my sister Patty's house for a delightful spaghetti dinner! (cause its my favorite) Andrew's son AJ has mentioned to Patty that she is the best cook in the UNIVERSE!!! I have to agree...Thanks...It was wonderful! Its not often we get to see her and she only lives in Layton....what a piece of crap sister I am! We had so much fun with her, Andrew, Kenzie, Kayce, Dylan, and AJ. We missed you Jesse! I want to make it a #1 Rule that Drew and I will spend more time with our families! Family is important and they will always be there for you! Thanks again Patty...lets get together again!

Sis' Owie :(

Drew went out of town to Colorado for work, so we were spending a lot of time at Abbey's house so we weren't lonely or scared....I'm a bit of a scariedy cat! The day that Drew left we went to pick up Abbey and Cache so they could spend some time with us at our house. Sydnee is not the most graceful and she tripped as we were leaving. Abbey's front door is old fashioned and is the really heavy wood. Sydnee tripped and hit the flat side of the door. She hardly ever cries so when she did I knew she was hurt. I picked her up to love her and Abbey said "Oooh that's a big bump." I thought it would have just been a red mark but it instantly gave her a goose egg and turned purple. In the first picture, I took that 30 seconds after she fell! I freaked out!!! She stopped crying within a couple of minutes but kept saying "Mommy it hurts." So I took her to the Emergency Room. Luckily everything was ok, if anything maybe a slight concussion.... they couldn't really tell. She had just broke some blood capillaries in her forehead, which caused it to puff up and bruise. She is doing ok and the swelling went down the next day. We love our lil cluts!







Best Buddies!!

When we had Kaeson we were worried about Sydnee being Jealous and that is not the case at all! Kaeson and Sydnee are best friends! Sydnee can't do anything without Kaeson being involved. She is always trying to feed him. I left the room the other day only for a moment to return to Kaeson having chocolate all over his face! Sydnee was sharing her candy with him. When we drive in the truck their car seats have to be side by side and the kids will fall asleep holding each others hands. It melts my heart how much they love each other. Kaeson just laughs so hard when Sydnee hugs him or even just walks into the room.








Christmas '08

This was the funnest Christmas ever! I had my two wonderful babies and my wonderful husband! We had a Christmas party on Christmas Eve at my parents house, and that is my favorite tradition. We always have a dinner and then we write our name on our logs and what we would like Santa to bring to us. So when we throw the log in the fire then the smoke will send a signal to Santa, telling him what we want. It is so much fun for our family to get together and just be crazy as you can tell with my dad! He always does something fun...anything to get us to laugh.

My dad always wishes Jesus a Happy Birthday on Christmas Eve, so Amy had this really good idea that we would sing happy birthday to him. I hope we can keep that tradition going! It was so much fun when we woke up Christmas morning and Santa had come and brought the kids so many cool new toys! I loved watching Sydnee opening her presents so slowly, one little piece of paper at a time! As she opened each of her presents she looked up at us and said, I LOVE IT! Da woe! (Thank you) Kaeson was so cute he loved the shiny paper and would rip a piece and try to eat it! I got a new i-pod and gift card! Drew and the kids all got so stinken spoiled! Unfortunately we left our camera at my mom & dad's house on Christmas Eve so we weren't able to get any pictures Christmas morning.
